Mitchell,
You have a lot of ideas here. Make sure you don't look at too great a range of texts or it will not go into enough depth. You need to pick 3-4 films to be your key texts to analyse, but can then draw on other horror ideas in order to justify any points you are making.
Remember the importance of wider contexts, particularly if you continue to focus on the disfigured monster and fear. Make sure the majority of the texts you look at are contemporary e.g. from the last 5-6 years.
You need to also consider why audiences respond to these films and want to be scared by looking at the uses and gratifications theory and other audience theories. Remember to identify the key target audiences for these films e.g. teenage males and why the images of disfigured or masked characters might scare them.
